Weed Control Challenge

Glyphosate alone used to provide an effective burndown option ahead of corn, cereals or soybeans. But the widespread adoption of herbicide-tolerant crops, and the alarming spread of glyphosate- and Group 2-resistant weeds including Canada fleabane, giant and common ragweed, and others, has dramatically reduced the effectiveness of glyphosate-only control programs.

Nufarm Solution

The all-in-one formulation of BlackHawk makes it easier for growers to spray when they need to – up to one day after planting soybeans. When tank mixed with glyphosates like Credit Xtreme, BlackHawk delivers faster, more complete weed control in a pre-emergent burndown treatment than glyphosate alone, Group 2 and Group 14 only herbicides. With two active ingredients and two modes of action, BlackHawk doubles as an effective tool for resistance management.

Benefits

  • Three modes of action when tank mixed with glyphosate
  • Flexibility to apply up to 3 days post-planting in soybeans
  • Stronger resistance management with two active ingredients that control glyphosate, Group 2- and triazine-resistant biotypes
  • Faster control through systemic and contact activity for broad-spectrum weed control
  • Better performance than glyphosate or other tank-mix products

PLUS

  • Convenient all-in-one formulation
  • Tank mixable with most pre-emergent herbicides
  • No surfactant required
