PRE-HARVEST Challenge

Time alone is not the enemy. The potential losses that the passing of time causes is where crop management strategies are required. It’s simple, shortening the time to get the crop in the bin protects quality and creates a more valuable crop. In addition, time management is a requirement of today’s farms. By managing this precious resource and process growers can plan for the proper implementation of their farm resources.

Nufarm Solution

DriFast desiccant delivers another option to help growers plan harvest management. DriFast (Group 22) contains the trusted active ingredient, diquat that’s similar to Reglone. This product provides Canadian farmers another tool to assist in drying down the crop quickly allowing for a more efficient harvest and higher quality grain.

Benefits

  • Faster Harvest typically 4 – 10 days after application
  • Contact activity that provides fast dry down of green material
  • Safe to use on crops that will be used for seed

PERFORMANCE TIPS

  1. Water volume:  By ground – minimum 20 gal./ac. to 50 gal./ac., by air – minimum 4 gal./ac.
  2. Use of adjuvant is required, add non-ionic surfactant such as AGRAL 90 at 1 L per 1,000 L, LI 700 at 2.5 L per 1,000 L or other non-ionic surfactants at equivalent rates as stated on individual labels
  3. Performance may be enhanced when applied in the evenings or on cloudy days
