Tandus XL is a selective herbicide for the control of many broadleaf weeds in wheat, barley and oats including black nightshade, docks (seedling), field chickweed, volunteer potato (suppression only), wireweed, cornbind, field madder and cleavers.

Tank mix partners

The addition of Agritone® 750 to Tandus XL will broaden the weed spectrum for control of fathen, hedge mustard, wild turnip, shepherd’s purse and nettle, and will improve the control of wireweed. Tank mixing Tandus XL may reduce crop selectivity. Apply at the growth stages recommended for tank mix partner.

Directions for use

Apply from GS13-GS45 (3 leaf to booting) growth stage of the crop. Do not spray cereals undersown with clover or lucerne.

Black nightshade
Docks (seedling)
0.375 Weeds should be at the 2-6 leaf stage.
Field chickweed 0.5 Apply before flowering
Cleavers 0.625 Apply at the 2 – 4 whorl stage. Application may also be made to cleavers at advanced growth stages to achieve knockdown.
0.625 Apply to wireweed and cornbind at the 2 – 6 leaf growth stage.
Field madder 0.625 Apply to field madder before flowering
Volunteer potato 1.0  Suppression only. Apply when volunteer potatoes are 10 – 20cm in height. The level of control will vary according to potato vigour, variety and crop competition.

Tandus XL can be applied to actively growing weeds using conventional ground spraying equipment. Do not apply to plants which may be stressed due to prolonged periods of extreme cold, waterlogging, drought, disease or previous herbicide treatment as reduced levels of control may result.
Use 100 – 200 litres of water per hectare as a medium quality spray. For late applications use 300 litres of water per hectare as a medium quality spray to obtain more complete coverage.
Do not apply more than 1 litre of Tandus XL per hectare or more than one application per season.
Do not apply if rain is likely to occur within two hours of application.

Withholding period

Do not graze crops for seven days after application.
