MaxCel

Horticulture

MaxCel (6-Benzyladenine) is a key component of your apple thinning and sizing programme.

This plant growth regulator helps manage fruit numbers so that only those which can be sized adequately are retained through to harvest. It is better to have 80 apples of an average size of 69 mm diameter than 120 apples 60 mm in diameter. Larger fruits are easier and cheaper to pick and grade. The MaxCel treated crop below shows a better grade of apples compared to non-PGR treated.

KEY BENEFITS

  • Reduces hand thinning costs
  • Increases marketable yield
  • More uniform and bigger fruit size
  • Evidence of stronger return bloom
  • Pre-formulated with adjuvant
